Planning whats going to happen for the event

Today we created a gantt chart on Microsoft project. In this we had to make a list of all the proceedures we had to take care of when planning this event. Next to the list we had to reccomend a date when we think they would be accomplished buy and how long it would take to complete the tasks.

Plans for 29/11/11

This morning at 11oclock we are meeting in the performance theatre with Vicki Archibald a Marketing liaison officer. Vicki Archibald has many experiance with managing business events and will be able to give us lots advice and handy tips in order to pull off our event successfully. She will be able to help us with types of promotion, laws and regualations, time scales, costs and much more.

The meeting with Vicki Archibald was a great success, i learnt alot from her and she answered my questions reasonably. I managed to fill out my whole question sheet, therefore i gained all the information i needed to know. She gave us some great tips and advice, however i felt she could of given us some more information about marketing techniques and perhaps gone into detail a bit more when explaining and answering questions.

Unit 18 - Business BTEC blog

I am a student at Abingdon and Witney College, i am currently studying level 3 Business. For one of my assignments my task is to form a small group and manage a business event. The event will be a play for primary school children the performing arts students have to put on. The play is going to be focused on a space theme, this is child friendly and will be enjoyable for young children. Us as business students will need to arrange and organise the whole event. This assignment will take alot of preparing and focus in order for it to become a success.
