Last Tuesday Business Btec students and performing arts students joined together in the performance theatre, we then had to split up into groups containing 4 business students and 2 performing arts students. The activity we was set consisted of writing a conflict resolution script. The script had to include a Scenario where there started off with conflict between two employees or an issue that occured, soon after the actors would find out a way to resolve the situation in a business like way. This demonstrates people having to work together and adapt correctly to how they need to act rather than being theirselves. However my group included 3 business students and 1 performing arts student, the members involved was myself, Armna Sarwar, Kiran Nazir and Mia yuill who was the only performing arts student, the reason why we didnt have another performing arts member was because by the time we had sorted our group out they had all already arranged themselves into other groups. Besides this we still managed to work together well and create a well put together script. We were all struggling a little as to what the scenario was going to revolve around, where and how. Therefore we asked Suzy for an example which helped us alot! It wasnt such a good idea us all being friends and already knew eachother as it made it a little more difficult to concentrate, how ever i had thought of an idea, shared it with the others and wrote the script down brifely on a scrap peice of paper. After lunch we then had to write up out script on the computers, to prevent missunderstanding we have included a narrator in ours to clarify what is going on and avoid confusion. In the future i think we need to perhaps join with different members and also have another performing arts student. The activity was over all productive, however due to all being friends i natrually decided to take lead as i knew otherwise nothing would get done, however we were all open as to what we think should be included and what shouldnt. If we had another one we would of had more creativity in our script and more ideas.
